INGREDIENTS
2 pounds tater tots, thawed
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 dash garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups cornflakes cereal
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
paprika to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
In a large mixing bowl combine tater tots, soup, onion, sour cream, cheese, garlic powder, seasoning salt and softened butter; mix well. Transfer to casserole dish. In a medium bowl combine cereal and melted butter; spread over casserole. Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese (use more or less according to your taste) and paprika.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until browned. (Note: It's a good idea to put a cookie sheet under the casserole dish, in case it bubbles over while cooking.)

From the Ore-Ida website, there's a bunch of different recipes.
Cheesy Potato Casserole
- 1 30 oz. bag Ore-Ida® Country Style Hash Browns
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups crushed corn flakes
- 3 green onions, (tops and most of the green part), chopped
- ¼ cup butter or margarine melted
1. Mix soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, green onions and cheese in a large mixing bowl.
2. Add Ore-Ida® Country Style Hash Browns and stir to combine.
3. Place in greased 13x9 pan.
4. Top with butter and cornflakes mixed together.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly around the edges.
I made this recipe, but used Ore-Ida Southern style Hash Browns (little chopped square chunks of potato) instead of the shredded hash browns. Also, I used potato chips instead of corn flakes.
Whether you follow the recipe directly or do variations, the recipes are bound to turn out. Ore-Ida probably has a staff working out the recipes to ensure they taste good.
This recipe turned out very good where other guest were asking for the recipe.

Cheese-Stuffed Hash Browns.
5 cups frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
3 medium green onions, thinly sliced (3 tablespoons)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
1. In large bowl, mix potatoes, onions, salt and pepper. Coat 10-inch nonstick skillet with slanted side with 1 tablespoon of the oil; heat over medium heat. Spread 2 1/2 cups of the potato mixture evenly over bottom of skillet; press down with back of broad spatula. Top with cheese to within 1 inch of edge. Spread remaining potatoes over cheese; press down with back of broad spatula.
2. Cook over medium heat 15 minutes or until potatoes are well browned and crisp. Loosen edge of potatoes with spatula. Place heatproof plate upside down over skillet; carefully turn skillet upside down over plate to remove potatoes.
3. In same skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat. Slide potatoes from plate into skillet so uncooked side is down. Cook about 10 minutes or until potatoes are well browned
