Okay, first of all...sometimes I joke around that there is no god just to see peoples reactions. Though in reality I am more of an agnostic because I honestly think there is no way of proving or disproving the existence of god, rather it's a matter of personal beliefs.
Let it be known, however, that no matter the stance on religion I think ORGANIZED religion is a joke due to the large amount of hypocrisy in the church.
Moving on. When I was younger and religious. I remember a sermon, in that sermon the preacher was talking about his discussion with someone who believes in evolution.
He went on to ask the evolutionist about where planets came from and stars and everything else out in space. The evolutionist says "They were just there"
Then the creationist goes on to say that they couldn't just "Always be there, someone has to put it there"
Yet they claim god was "Always there". How does that make any sense at all? Why is it God can always be there but nothing else can?

Sentinel: So basically, just like I said. It's all a matter of belief. That and it's a nice way for religious people to say, "Gee, I don't know."
The problem with what I am talking about is that people believe in time. Time is a man-made concept. In reality time does NOT exist. Humans have a hard time grasping on to the idea that there is not beginning and end to something. We also think of a starting point. In reality, there may have been absolutely NO starting point at all. Things have always been and things will always be. It may not always be the same as it is now, but the universe will always be around.

To edit: I didn't mean that the planets were "just there" that was my error because he didn't really say it like that...I was merely shorting my question because of yahoos character limit.
Obviously we know that the planets were not always there, but were created whether it be by a god or "big bang" (though the big bang isn't viewed as a REAL possibility anymore but merely sited as an example of how things "could have" happened).

If we knew this and could understand it perfectly then we all would be God`s, for those who believe in God no explanation is necessary, for those who don`t none will suffice.

You have to combine science with spiritualism to appreciate the Truth. God is a concept which is in the subtle world. The gross world is the creation of the subtle world. First the thought then the action and at the end a product.
So also in the cosmic scheme the thought and then the evolution and then the material world which is ever changing. It is an eternal process that is beyond time and space, and that is God. To think or expect that God means a being similar to the Human species is the most basic fallacy.

it is actually pretty simple. The idea is that space/time hasn't always existed. Whether you think God created it along with DNA and our eyes, or that it started with a Big Bang whose cause is a mystery (some God perhaps?), something is "always there" when it is outside of space/time. This place may or may not be attainable by us, but whatever.
and clearly, the preacher was either living in a previous century or creating a straw-man, i don't know any astrophysicists that claim the planets were always there.

I am all for believing in good and being nice to people, but as for organized religion. HATE IT. I think that any time you get too many like minded people together to praise or worship something, only bad can come of it. Military, soccer riots Religion, I categorize all these people in 1 big group- FANATICS. Mob mentality blurs your vision of what is right and true. It is easy to get caught up in a bad idea if 100,000 others are chanting for it. Stay home and believe whatever the h3ll you want, but don't try to drag me into it.

The answer to this is provided in classical theological arguement. "God" by definition is atemporal, whereas everything we sense and call the universe is not only bound by time, but bound by a one way flow of time, despite the "theoretical" possibility of time flowing in either direction.
I agree that the existence of God might not be possible to prove or disprove rationally. However, those of us who do believe in God, and provide rational arguments to defend our belief, are not the simpletons we are made out to be.
Furthermore, the "Church" is not the only example of organized relegion. Would it be fair to judge all forms of relegion based on the actions of a few that calim to represent one relegion.
I admire your critical thinking. Use it fairly, thoroughly, and honestly.

Mary says " it isn't the device that opens the door, it is the concentrated motive of the concepts. And it is not precisely smart to open doors which you won't be able to close, nor administration what might come with the aid of " then why even use a board in case you have the flexibility to do this ? the only ingredient that comes with the aid of with a ouija board is subconscious stuff yet which may well be damn frightening at circumstances even with the undeniable fact that the board is barely a board .. a interest ... ineffective

The explanation of how the planets got there (if no God) has to fit with the laws of physics, matter and energy. To say that the planets were "just there" violates that and so can not stand on it's own.
The idea that there is a God, who made everything (matter, energy, laws of physics, etc) demands that this God NOT be ruled by the laws of physics, matter and energy that we understand. So it does not violate the concept to say that God "was always there", or to say that He "just IS". He Himself calls Himself "I AM". This name implies past present and future all rolled into one.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:
Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?
