I've decided to put myself on a healthy 2 month diet to get rid of unwanted excess fat. I go to the gym 4 hours a week, plus i do lots of brisk walking, and some areobics, with pilates.
The touble is im not sure what sort of foods i should be eating and how many calories im meant to consume everyday, and still lose a successful 2 pound a week.

I'm 5'2 and weigh 51kg
I'm 21 years old.

The important thing to remember is not to starve yourself. DO NOT skip meals. That will make you put on more weight once you start eating regularly. The brutal logic of dieting is that it isn't how much you eat, it's what you eat. Also, your metabolism works better if you eat more small meals throughout the day rather than the traditional three. Consume many carbs at breakfast. Have a good sized lunch that has some greens and protein. Make sure you have a dinner, but not big. Dinner is the last meal of the day so your body won't use much of the nutrients you get from that meal.

Also, I highly recommend martial arts as a form of exercise. Did you know that martial artists who train regularly are alloted an extra 1000 calories a day?!

According to this chart (see source below), at 5'2 and weighting 112 lb. you are in the normal weight area. Now you might want to look a bit slimmer and toned for summer, which is quite understandable.
If u want to lose a few pounds I suggest to do a lot of cardio, running, bicycle, jogging work well, since cardio that involves the full range motion of ur legs is the best.
The daily calorie intake varies from person to person and it depends in big part on ur activity level. Below is a site where u can calculate ur DCI. In ur case (Exercise level: 3 - 5 times a week) to lose a pound or so per week, 1300 calories would do the job, even though it appears that u have the right weight for ur height.

Keep in mind that to maintain a healthy weight will require a permanent lifestyle change, so a two month diet is really not the permanent answer. However the advice given above is probably good to start. Keep in mind that your weight flucuates up to five pounds a day depending on activity level and consumption so don't discouraged by small weight gains or be alarmed by weight loss outside your target weight loss (which is probably the max to still be healthy). And whatever you do don't arbitrarily cut out fat. If you starve yourself of fat your body will store it instead of burning it. Just make sure to ingest a healhty amount and healthy type of fat, like for example olive oil.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

i know it sounds impossible, but you will get there.
it just takes a while, and i mean a while.
start your calories at 1500 and slowly decrease as you can.
make sure to drink 1ml of water for every calorie you eat! so important. keep up the exercising. if you exercise 20 minutes 3x a week that is perfect. use wieghts, that helps to tone too. and just follow the basic pyramid of food. its your best bet.

reduce your caloric intake by 500 calories each day, either by eating less or eating less and exercising. I have to exercise to lose anything. you should eat about 1300-1400 calories a day. these sites can help you plan your foods.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE GYM FOR 4 DAYS A WEEK AT 2 HOURS A SETTING. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS. I HAVE LOST NO WEIGHT.

I AM TOTALLY CONVINCED THAT THE ONLY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT IS TO STOP EATING. PERIOD. EXCERCISE ISN'T GOING TO DO IT. JUST STOP EATING.
