Why don't you like them? I'm a Christian and I can't get enough of them but some people tell me that its "the devil" or "the work of Satan" What the hell. Literally. Not everything that looks scary is a demon. And whats wrong with Harry Potter? Is it witch craft? We got over that centuries ago. You're all acting like babies. The only reason you do believe that is because when we did have witch craft the church came up with some weird idea that the devil was working through them. The Bible may say stuff about playing with the devil and when it comes to stuff like Necromancy then your getting in hot water. But the bible never literally says that which craft is the work of Satan. If you believe that you might as well believe the old story of where our sneeze tradition came from. They said back in the day that whenever you sneezed a demon was upon you and thats why they said "God bless you". Tell me why you would believe witchcraft is the work of the devil and not that.

So tell me this, if witchcraft isn't after God how is a computer printer. Or a ice cream bar. Maybe a magazine?

Witchcraft is not of God. I don't like horror movies because they-re too violent.

Mankind has a dark side to his personality and where do you think this came from? God created everything and saw that it was indeed good,so how as a Christian can you ask such a question?
Sin and the darkness of fear entered the world due to the open rebellion of Satan, and by the fall of Adam and Eve we too inherited this state which was never our natural one.
Can you seriously say that fear and darkness has any place in God`s loving plan? think again on what you have said here,it sure seems to me like you are making excuses for your own pleasure and want some back up from other Christians, sorry to disappoint you but Christ has led us out of darkness into His own wonderful light.

I don't approve of witchcraft (strange, because I'm formerly Wiccan), but Harry Potter is just fiction. I LOVE the movies...though not as much as I love the books!

As for horror movies, I love them too. The bloodier, the better!

Look, what you like is between you and God, same as what I like is between God and me. Many Christians feel they're in a position to judge. They're NOT. We are allowed to say what is a sin and what's not, but it HAS to be supported scripturally. We are to be careful about what we allow in our minds, that's true. This means that for some Christians horror movies and/or Harry Potter are off-limits. But for others, it doesn't affect us either way.

Just ignore the Christians who judge those things. What you like is between you and God.

as for fictional fantasy like Harry potter i see nothing wrong with it.
But the horror films are not usually good to watch because the violence is so intense and completely drives away the spirit(Holy Ghost).
