the airline will do everything they can to rebook anyone, not just minors on the next available flight. hopefully, they will just be delayed a few hours and allowed to go on the next flight. airlines will only pay for a hotel in certain circumstances (like in the case of weather, they will not pay for a hotel). if it's their fault, like mechanical, they will pay for the hotel and should give you food vouchers to buy food in the airport

Good Question...
I usually go to the airlines website for that information.
But obviously they want to be seen in the best light. So it could be altered. Just my cynical side thinking that.
I found a website that offers real time flight tracking. I am not sure how good it is, but might be worth checking out.

if you know what day and where it was comeing from you can usually call the airline 800 number and go back a few days or weeks - i dont know of a web site -
