He has, and a lot in the last 60 years, you just don't know what you are looking for. Read Daniel, Revelations, look up the signs of the end times. Compare what you find about the world and apply them to what is happening around you. If you do not see God moving, you are blind. You now know where to look and you will be held accountable on that day, I hope you do the research and take advantage of these things.

Have you ever pondered that maybe God has not shown even the slightest progress for 2000 years to those that don't wish to seek, or see, his progress? Those that do see, and seek, God will tell you quite the opposite.

But, to give you a story of why God does not have to show progress, let me start out with the phrase::

na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate
God has nothing to do

So, when you have nothing to do, what do you do? You play!

You pretend to be someone else, somewhere else, doing something new. Maybe you do this by watching tv, or by going to a bar and hearing about someone's adventures, or you read a book or something.

That is what God is always doing, because there is nothing God has to do. God is self-fulfilled, and never worries about where food or shelter is coming from. There is no danger to God. Thus, God is always playing!

And, if God is that force at the center of Life, then we are always playing as well. Everyone is playing a different game, and since that driving force inside of them is God, they automatically feel that the game they are playing is the Ultimate Truth.... and it is...but it's not the whole ultimate truth. Just because we have God in us, and everything we do is for God, that doesn't make ourselves God(s).

So for an example...

If a boy has ten different toys, he will give them each a different personality and different actions according to that personality, but everything he invests in them is really inside himself. The toys are not him, but he is the toys! He depends on the toys to create the game; without them, what would the boy be able to do? And, at the same time, the toys are playing with their toys (think of barbie and all of her clothes, cars, kitchens, and everything).

The same thing happens in a dream. If we dreamt of an empty and random void, where would the happiness be? even in the weirdest dreams there is some structure and some personality. When we grow up, we want to travel and buy things, listen to music, look at artwork, so on....

We're still just playing!

When Jesus Christ lived on the earth, He organized His Church so that all people could receive His gospel and return one day to live with God, our Heavenly Father. After Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, His Apostles continued to receive revelation from Him on how to direct the work of His Church. However, after they were killed, members changed the teachings of the Church that He had established.
Jesus Christ began to restore His Church in its fulness to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1820. Joseph Smith was chosen by God to restore the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. During the next 10 years, Joseph was visited by other heavenly messengers, translated the Book of Mormon, and received authority to organize the Church. The Church was organized in Fayette, New York, on 6 April 1830, under the leadership of Joseph Smith.
God reveals His will to prophets today, just as He did anciently.
The same priesthood authority that existed in the original Church established by Jesus Christ exists in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today. The Church is directed and led through this authority.

All these advancement in technologies and Medicine and Architecture etc who do you think creates the thought in ones head?

Also here is a passage in Quran that talks about the completion of religion and God's favor:

[5-3] Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than God; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, God is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

If one door was closed, 99 other doors were opened.

How about electric lights.
Radio, television, telephones, cell phones, computers.
The ability to invent all these things comes from God.
Automobiles, tunnel digging equipment.
The Atomic bomb.
Medical advancements.
We could go on and on.
I don't know what you mean.

It is not GOD who needs to show progress - it is MANKIND. As you have so aptly pointed out with your question, mankind is inept.
