Sounds like it might be mites; also known as scabies in humans. Your vet can diaagnose with simple skin scraping test; treatment consists of dips or oral meds.

Sounds a lot like a flea allergy dermatitis. Could also be a fungal infection(ringworm) or scabies. If you have small children in the house, I would keep them away from the dog and anything he may be laying on until you can confirm this with a vet. A medicated bath would help, with oatmeal shampoo. If the rash/bumps get worse or increase in number I would get to the vet as soon as you can. Good Luck.

It could be a number of things, you definitely should call your vet. If they look like little bites, it could also be a staph infection, my pup had one and it was really hard to get rid of because I waited too long to take him to the vet. Check and see if there are any bumps where his legs and body join together, that could indicate staph. I thought mine just had some insect bites because it was springtime, but I was very wrong. It spread quickly, too. I hope it is something simple that you can treat easily! Good luck!

Is your dog loosing his hair around the areas you spoke of, or is he shedding alot, here's a listing to contact; Everyday solutions.com, they can help any thing to deal with mange or red-mange, check it out it's amazing stuff!it will also help with hot-spots. I use it on my dog when she had mange and all her hair came back softer and prettier than it was, also when she has hot=spots, dry areas that retain the body heat, I apply it and rub it into the skin, it cools the area and takes out the dryness.

you'd have to ask a vet, but it sounds like an allergic reaction. my cat was allergic to fleas and got something like that.
