I try to make sure that I am eating enough good stuff during the day, so I don't feel deprived and eat everything in sight when it's late and my will power is down. Also, I try to give myself reasonable treat every day, like those 100 calorie cookie pack, or a Starbucks ice cream bar, or even a piece of chocolate. Or I plan a "day-off" that I can eat what I want- sometimes I just have remind myself that "I can eat whatever I want on Sat, so I don't need this now...etc" Good Luck!

Maybe you need to try grazing, or eating several small meals a day. Binging happens mostly when we feel really hungry, because we've maybe gone too long without eating or have otherwise deprived ourselves of food. Eating lots of mini-meals throughout the day may not leave you quite so starved (if that's the way you're feeling) so that you have to binge in the evening. It's worth a try...

My suggestion: Find something to keep yourself busy. Scrapbook or something that you really like to do and lose yourself in.

In my Bally's email newsletter they covered this just yesterday:

Subject: Eating at Night

For many people, eating at night (when we're typically less active) can lead to weight gain. If you'd like to change your nighttime eating patterns, here are a few suggestions:

- Eat several small meals throughout the day; this way, you will not be ravenous in the evening.
- If your dinnertime routinely falls late in the evening, make lunch your main meal and dinner more of a light healthy "snack," such as a small sandwich or a yogurt with fruit.
- Don't eat and watch TV at the same time. If you're feeling hungry, eat in a room that has no television in it.
- Don't drink alcohol. It tends to increase appetite and diminish one's resolve to eat sensibly. (It also packs its own calories!)

Here are my 3 simple techniques:

1. Binge! But don't eat until lunch the next day - stay hydrated though.

2. Add two tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar to a large glass of apple juice. Its like drinking socks and will repel you for sure.

3. Do something to keep your hands busy so you won't have them in a bag of potato chips, etc (sorry if I just made you think about potato chips) Suggested activities: Petting a cat, filing nails, cuddling with a hottie.

Discipline grasshopper!

Maybe you're using food to replace something that's missing in your life. The bingeing is probably not due to hunger, and is a habit with an underlying cause. The easiest solution is self-discipline. Instead of eating, substitute another activity, such as working out, reading, watching TV, visiting friends, or pursuing a hobby. If these distractions aren't working, then you need to see a therapist to find out why you have such obsessive-compulsive food behaviors, because it could lead to as much an eating disorder as anorexia or bulimia.

You must not be eating enough early in the day. They say to "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper". Eating a big breakfast is supposed to prevent you from eating too much later on in the day. Also try drinking water instead of eating something. Water helps make you feel full.

attempt and do away with any nutrients on your kitchen that's, what i like to call, "grab-n-bypass" nutrients. Cookies. Chips. Pop.... attempt and get some finished wheat crackers, tortillas, peanut butter, and so on. That replaced into the main significant significant challenge for me, as a results of actuality I even have night binging matters too. (particularly in many situations bearing directly to night-time hypoglycemia - even nonetheless that's plenty extra suitable ordinary to horf down a %. of oatmeal cookies than, say, make a bowl of oatmeal) in case you need to take it slow to teach the nutrients, you're much less in all danger to desire to problem, and for that reason, won't consume it.... or in case you do it is going to a minimum of be some element nutrutious. in case you reside with distinctive people who could desire to be a challenge, as a results of actuality then THEY purchase the nutrients. If that's that a marvelous form of a challenge for then you definately, i could propose on your well-being, bypass out and get precise right into a challenge the situation you need to administration your atmosphere a splash extra suitable constructive.... do away with any nutrients that's reachable to consume. that's my suggestion. don't be too frustrating in your self - you would be laid low with way of hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, and you'd be able to legitimately ought to consume contained in process the night... that's powerful... in simple terms attempt to consume some element that's healthful, and smaller areas.
