Hades historically is referred to as a place of waiting, it is believed that Hades is a place where all souls go to await judgement, and there is a separation of good and bad souls in that place of waithing

Nickey you pretty much have it right. It is written that when you die the soul goes back to the father that created it. Heaven is where ever god is . But it is divided by a chasm that no man may cross. On one side is the unbelievers. On the other side is the believers of Christ and the gate to the path leading to god. However one must have enough faith to pass through the gate. There is more to it but this answers you question adequately. Note, which side would you consider hades?

If you check any dictionary you'll discover that hades is ancient Greek for Hell and that Hell is old English for hades. In other words, they mean exactly the same thing, in two different languages.

Only Muslims go straight to Heaven or Hell when they die.
The souls of Christians reside in the bodies of the dead as they rot in their graves, waiting for Judgment Day. This, of course, means that no Christian has yet to go to either Heaven or Hell. Orthodox Jews do not believe in life after death, nor Heaven, nor Hell.

The idea that your soul goes back to The Father was invented around 400 AD by Augustine of Hippo. Augustine attempted to legitimize early Christian superstition by combining Christ's promise of eternal life with Aristotle's earlier concept of the soul. This philosophical unification is why most Christians believe that their immortal soul is actually a bit of God's own eternal essence. The Church canonized Saint Augustine for this and other theological contributions.

When you die your soul goes to Heaven, Hell or Purgatory.

All of those in Purgatory are purified and then enter Heaven eventually. Those who die in a state of perfection such as martyrs, great saints or people who are forgiven of all sins just before death (i.e. they achieve perfect contrition) will go straight to Heaven.

As for hell - "Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, ‘eternal fire.’ The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs" (Catholic Catechism 1035).

You are correct. Hell will be created when Christ comes again.
