That's what I was told. When you're told you have cancer "best" seems like an odd word to apply. I have Papillary Thyroid Cancer. I just had my 2 year check and there's no sign of it (Thank you Lord!) When I was isolated for my first treatment I was at the end of the Cancer wing. I lay there feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't be close to anyone for two weeks. Because I was so radioactive the nurses practically threw the food in to me. On my door was a big Radioactivity warning sign. It was Christmas and the other patients were told to take their IV's and walk down to the Christmas tree (which was outside my room). These people with enormous hunks taken out of them looked at me with pity. I have a small scar across my neck. I have to be checked every year and they make me "glow" but after my Christmas experience I can say yes, if you are going to have cancer, thyroid is the best.

im a 20 12 months previous guy with thyroid problems, I extremely have alot of the comparable indicators as you. all i will say is that in case you do have thyroid maximum cancers that's between the main treatable kinds of maximum cancers around. yet to me it doesnt sound like maximum cancers. purely take a deep breath, loosen up, and enjoy existence.

I just went through all the testing for that, and I will tell you what the doctor told me, yes it is the best cancer to have, because they have many things that they can do to get rid of it. it's very treatable, they can remove the Thyroid, and they have two test that is easily done to see if you have it or not. It's not usually fatal. Hope that helps. Tammy

No cancer is a good cancer.. and although doctors say that it is the best one to have because of it's cure rate.. they don't tell you about the side effects of not having a thyroid..
speaking from experience...I had thyroid cancer... after having it completely removed I went into complete emotional chaos.. I knew that it was as a result of not having enough T3 in my body, but the blood tests said "I was fine"... I wasn't... Some doctors pay little attention at the after care of a patient.. fortunately I have a good family doctor who listened to what I was saying and referred me to the proper people... otherwise, I truly believe that I would not be here today...
So yes... it's a good cancer to have as far as cure rate (some thyroid cancers are very deadly)... but the emotional rollercoaster that you will experience is something else...NOT FUN!!

All of the above are true. I have been a survivor for six years now. No reoccurrence.
