I usually serve glazed carrots with a pork roast, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. I also carmalize onions with the brown sugar for the carrots and they taste wonderful! And, for the green beans, I saute a few slices of platter bacon with some onion and toss steamed carrots with it. One of my favorite dinners!

I've had them before with "made from scratch" chicken pie and mashed potatoes at a local restaurant.
The flavors worked very well together.

I like to serve them with red meat -- like prime rib or a steak. I just love these kinds of carrots (Mom called them 'pennies from heaven.')
