If you believe God values faith, then you must accept that there can't be any proof of his existence. If there were any proof, and God could be proven, faith would become meaningless.
You may have to come to terms with the fact that no one knows what happens to our ego when we die, but consider that your personality is held in the physical organ of your brain, evidenced by the fact that when it is injured, a person's personality is subject to change. The exact nature of a person's spirit/soul has not ever been adequately defined.

We are energy beings, all parts of us that are so-called solid is only energy vibrating at a slower rate, this is proven by metaphysics. Energy does not die nor does matter, it simply changes forms. Like ice when it is heated changes to water then to vapor but the molecules are still present, as energy beings we may change forms at death but are not destroyed.
In the Fellowship of Seekers, we do not believe in heaven and hell as physical locations but as states of consciousness. The inferences to hell when translated appropriately hardly mean what Christians have taken them to mean. In the King James Bible, the Old Testament term sheol is translated as hell 31 times.Sheol means "grave" In the New Testament of the KJV, Gehenna is always translated as Hell but was actually a town dump. The KJV translates Hades as Hell. Hades is traditionally the Greek word used to mean sheol again "grave" Finally, the Latin word infernus means "being underneath" and is often translated as "Hell."
I know if you have not heard these things before that it may be a bit shocking but there are many inconsistencies in the bible that are seldom discussed. To conclude, a loving and merciful God who controls everything, definitely has the power to change the course of human history without demanding the murder of his own son to pay a penalty which he himself imposed. To this end let me say that we are Christians, and am so because in our daily lives we seek to follow the personal example of Jesus Christ. This example is one which teaches us to discover the divinity and gifts within us and share them with the world. It teaches us to be communal and share what we have with others. In doing so, and in encouraging others to do so, we attain a level of consciousness which gives us inner peace; that we hope when taught to a critical mass of people will one day create a world of peace we can call heaven.
May God Bless You.

well I'm sorry you don't have enough faith to believe but i believe that the spirit can be with the family sometimes, like one time after my grandaddy died i was thinking about him and crying at the same time, then all of a sudden i felt like someone was touching my ear and stroking it like my family did when i was little to calm me down and i believe without a doubt in my mind that God allowed my grandaddy to come and comfort me.

Religion is based on "faith "not evedience.Jesus said many ,many times,Believe & it will happen.Either u believe or u don't.There is no other way to say it,no matter what.I don't mind if u believe in "Santa Claws",but if that is what u believe then u are intitled to your beliefs.
