I have a microsoft dell computer and i want to put some songs on my new ipod nano but when i plug my ipod into my usb port it goes into the installment process and a screen comes up and says something like '' if you install your apple ipod on this microsoft based computer your computer will not function properly and the system will not come on now or in the near future '' all i need to know is what to do do i install it or leave it alone will it mess up or is this just something to make me not use apple programs on my microsoft pc!?!?!?!?!

I've installed Ipod nano, Ipod Video and an Ipod shuffle on a Dell PC running windows XP home with no problems.

I truly have a Zune And like it!! a million. Radio 2. personalize with pictures as heritage 3. extra sturdy reason s i don't love Ipods a million. Crappy! They smash AND ARE NOR sturdy 2. I Hate the roller issues The circle issues 3. cant personalize. 4. I in basic terms HATE THEM

Yes it is perfectly fine, mine is on a dell. All you do is load up the software CD you got with it and connect the USB cord and away you go.

My Fiancè has a 40GB Ipod and it works fine on her Windows laptop.

This is just a warning, so that if something does happen, you cant go back and blame them for it. Its fine, i loaded mine on, works fine.
