I met her in Kankakee,Illinios.She had a sister by the name of Jan.Last known communications she lived in Colorado in 1970's.

Our Church had a Pastor David Nygaard here about 10 years ago. He went to another Lutheran Church in Joliet, Illinois. Seems like most of our local church pastors came from Minn. and if you met Jan Nygaard in Kankakee then there could be a relation. Kankakee is about 30 miles from me and Joliet is about 20 miles from me. David Nygaard is probably around 50 plus years old.

First i take a guess at what was their last location. i do a white pages search. you may get lucky and find a relative and sometimes women divorce and take back their maiden name. Other options are search on cllasmates.com, reunion.com, intellus. sometimes just plugging the name alon in a yahoo or goodle search can pull up news articles, obituaries, wedding announcements, births and more tha tmight include her name. There are also sites like ancestry.com and genweb that have listings for missing persons and adoptees. Intellius will charge you a couple a dollars but the name your searching is unique enough you should have good success at getting the right person. Intellus will give you a list of addresses, credit report, any court actions, tax records and more.

I know there are some Nygaard's that live in Dwight, Illinois, close to Kankakee. Go to whitepages.com and do a search for the last name in Dwight and call around. Might run into a relative of hers who can point you in the right direction.
