If we were to leave Saudi Arabia said they will go in against the shiites(Iran) what would happen to Iraq since they really can't seem to get their situation under control even with our help?

It seems to me that it only exist in name only as it is. The so called govt there only has power in the green zone and now even that is slipping. The reality is that there is a country in the north known as Kurdistan and a Sunni country forming in the middle and a Shite country forming in the south and we might as well get used to that reality and use it to give us an excuse to declare victory and move out.

You have been reading far too much news. Join sites where the Troops are writing. Their story is not the same as US news tells us. That fact puts your question into a hypothetical situation where if we cut and run we risk a repeat of what Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge did to millions of people when the US population coerced our government to drop it's support of the non-communists in Southeast Asia in the sixties and seventies. You would see mass death on an unheard of scale.
The Middle East is living in an eighth century mentality. It will take time and anything this big will be more work than fun. If you want to see how important it is...look at the resistance that is coming to bear. That was ALL going to unleash one day. Should we have waited for one of those maniac regimes over there to become nuclear?

Divide the damn place up just like it was before the Brits reallocated the terrain to everyone except the ones that were native to the area.
The Kurds should get the North(Kurdistan), The Shiites the Middle (Mesopotamia) and the Sunnis the south (Sunni Arabia).

The hippies and liberals will make us pull out, then Iran will go in and finish what they started in 1982. They'll take over Iraq, then there will be a nice little terrorist training ground. Then they'll bring the fight back to American soil, commit another act of terrorism, and then we'll all remember why we were there back in 2003-2007.

I would assume that the country would end up in 3 pieces. BUT--each would be jealous of the other, so one of the other neighbors would end up killing 1,000's if not millions and the people would also cease to exhist!!!
