$416 billion.

3294 dead so far.

Comparing war deaths to drunk driving deaths seems a bit silly to me. We have 150,000 troops in Iraq at the present time. That means about 1% of them have been killed in any given year. If 1% of americans were killed by drunk drivers on our freeways in one year, that would be 3 million dead. Compare that to 17,000.

Put another way, 17000/300000000 * 150000 = about 9. So comparing drunk driving deaths to soldiers serving in Iraq, we should be losing no more than 9 per year.

770 american civilians have been killed in Iraq.

The total cost for this war is expected to exceed $1 trillion. More, if we end up forced to pay reparations.

A good question to ask ourselves is, how many american lives are we willing to waste on this futile, unprovoked excercise? It would be one thing if our actions were not fomenting global terrorism. They are. It would be another thing if we actually had a plan executed by a competent administration. We do not. So far our plan is to simply "stay the course."

I know that when I am building something, and I smash my thumb with a hammer, and then I do it again, I try to be careful not to do it a third time. 3294 dead american soldiers. We are not learning from our mistakes.

When some claim that President Bush shouldn't
have started this war, state the following:

a. FDR led us into World War II.

b. Germany never attacked us; Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ...
an average of 112,500 per year.

c. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ...
an average of 18,334 per year.

d John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.

e. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ..
an average of 5,800 per year.

f. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three
times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on
multiple occasions.

g. In the years since terrorists attacked us , President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled
al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking.

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB!

The Military morale is high!

The biased media hopes we are too ignorant
to realize the facts

If Ron Paul were President for the period of WW2, we would have sat around with our thumbs up our butts because of the fact Germany and Japan did not choose us in Germany and Japan. He truthfully thinks we would desire to continually not be on the Arabian Peninsula because of the fact Al Qaeda would not choose us there. i don't have a correct determine for you, because of the fact any determine i've got ever seen includes the two Iraq and Afghanistan.

We spent a lot of money granted but it for our troops. We lost around 3300. Thats over 4 years though.
In 2003 we lost 17,000 people to drunk driving and every year since then. Thats a lot more people in one year then 4 years.

The men and woman dying over there volunteered to go over there. The men and woman who were killed by drunk drivers didn't volunteer for that. Saying there isn't no deaths in war seems silly to me. Numbers don't lie, more death by drunk driving.

Oh, this is for a report? Then why not to your own research? If your teacher wanted my research she/he would have asked me for a report.

Certainly you know how to use a search engine. Just put in Iraq war cost instead of Paris Hilton....

Unbelievable how lazy kids are today...want everything done for them......

Can you put a price on freedom?

I'd like to hear what price you would give it.
