the following 2 testimonials can be seen at http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/acne.ht...
Angelina O, has found that applying ACV topically to her face several times a day (4 or more times) has cured her of a "very bad complexion". She reports that she applies it straight and that while it burns her skin a bit, it still works like a miracle!
Cheryl writes, "My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up."

to drink it, put it in honey and water, or apple juice--tastes like cider..cost is 5 dollars a qt at the healthfood store

I use proactiv and I like it. I had some scaring on my face from being prego and it didn't take it all away but it did help. If you don't have severe acne I think it could help, I know a few people who use and love it.

Proactiv is very expensive for what it is: a benzoyl peroxide cream and a sulfur cream.
I would recommend starting with a salicylic acid cream like Clean & Clear Acne Cleanser and an antibiotic soap. Use one in the morning and the other at night.

I was reading this blog the other day and came upon an acne treatment that they say really works. What you do (I know it sounds crazy) is to squeeze out the juice from one lemon, soak it up in cotton balls and dab on the zits, do this just before bedtime, Don't wash it off, let it dry there overnight.
Repeat daily. Swears that it works.

proactive never worked for me. none of the OTC stuff works either. I used to work at Walgreens, the pharmacist recommended that i visit a dermatologist instead of wasting money on clearasil or stridex or clean and clear. now i take doxycyclin (internal antibody), clyndamicin phosphate lotion (external antibody), and retin-a gel. they work wonderfully. go to the dermatologist. if you can't afford one, go to a college campus with a medical facility that has a school of dermatology. you'll get discount rates and really good service. DO NOT GET PROACTIVE. Don't waste your money cos it might not be good for your skin type.
