Is a Christian ever mature? Or just overripe and there for the picking.

i lost sight when i was in an abusive realtionship, developed low self es teem and accepted almost anything that poeple would tell me. then i began to try and over compensate. I was stuck on being what people thought that i should be instead of who God says i am. I didn't realize how lost i was until while being depressed and feeling condemned, i met my fiancee'. He showed me Godly love. I felt the Love of God through him. God then began to remind me that even when i was broken, he loved me enough to send me someone who i wasn't even ready for. At least i didn't think i was. then God made me ready. You're never too far away that God can't rach you. I'll be praying for you. God loves you so much.

Oh yes,
We live our lives day to day and slowly get on the wrong track.
It happens to most of us multiple times. I normally get a reality check at Church on Sunday, or at adoration one hour per week, or, if not then before I go to Confession.
I have found these tools very necessary to keep me closer to doing what God wants instead of just what I want.
But I am a work in progress that needs a lot more Holiness!
Peace and God Bless!

Yes...in fact it happens frequently. It is usually when I get caught up in myself more than I am caught up in God. It wasn't long before I no longer felt at peace within myself and I have learned to recognize the emptiness when that personal relationship connection is not healthy. I ask forgiveness and get back in God's groove. It happens most frequently when I have had a spiritual victory. It is almost as if Satan attacks me. I've gotten so I wait for it to happen and it always does.

Yes, about five years after becoming a Christian. I guess I just got complacent. Thank God He is patient and merciful. When I "came to myself" I repented and the sweet communion that followed made me realize how much I truly love Him and how grateful I am to be a part of His kingdom.

Oh yes, I have done it more than once, my friend. If it were not for the grace of God I would hate to see how far I could stray at times. Its not that I became a big sinner I still believed in God and loved Jesus, I just didn't go to Church, pray and got caught up in my daily life. I didn't even miss my old friends from Church, until one of them died and we went to the funeral. I was so sad that it just jarred my faith back. God uses many ways to draw us back to Him. I have prayed many times that Jesus will not let me go and He hasn't and I trust that He never will.

Yes, this has happened to me. I realize it when I realize that i am not happy and there is no joy in my life. When this happens, I turn back to God in prayer and through prayer and reading and reflecting on Scripture, I get God back in focus and I become happier and the joy and peace return.

WOW, what a good question and thanks for asking it. To answer your question, yes. I realize it when I started feeling like something was just not going right. Its not long at all. It happens to me often. The path is narrow and without focus on the Lord its easy to go astray. When I want life to go well on life's terms I get back into his Word. Its that easy.
Be bless.

Yes, and I felt convicted about it and I felt lost, and I was miserable---I fell to my knees and asked the Lord's forgiveness and I cried out to Him, literally! The Holy Spirit is so real, and it convicts us when we fall away, and I love the Lord so much for giving us His Holy Spirit----do you notice how after living for the Lord, and having him in your life, you do not want the world? It tastes awful!!! I remember being in the world and just feeling sick to my stomach.

Yes when you let the troubles of the world and your own world overtake you it overwhelms. He says to give your concerns to HIM,its so easily done to hold on to the burdens.Just keep talking to Him,He is able to lift us.
