It's still quite buggy, I would wait at least until SP1 comes out. Also, make sure you have a VERY good computer or else it will slow it down drastically.

Not right away. Because manufacturers need to put out updates for computers so that existing hardware will accept the new drivers for Vista. Chances are that if your computer is old you might end up having to scrap the whole thing and get a new pc that has vista on it. People are having trouble updating there computers to vista now because the old motherboard, sound card, video card, and other peripherals are not vista compliant and wont accept the new drivers. Talk to your pc supplier and find out when the drivers will be available if ever at all. I know that I am going to have to scrap my rig and get a new mobo that is vista compliant. Its OK because I want to get an AM2 anyway.

Don't! Wait! Run for the hills!
Two weeks ago, my husband and I were in Best Buy getting a Wifi install to our laptop (out of town). While we were waiting for our install to be completed, we watched as person after person brought in their laptop complaining of glitches caused by Vista. At this point in time, most programs not designed specifically for Vista won't run...at least that's what we kept hearing over and over again. I don't know what Microsoft did with this new version, but I'm waiting to see how much money they lose on it when people start demanding their money back.
