can anyone give me one? LOL

i'm having a bad day, i have PMS, a brand new pimple, i'm in the worst mood today, its raining out, my sneakers and socks are STILL wet, but thru it all, i managed to get myself in the gym this morning and work out for a 1/2 hour (i was late getting there because of the rain - trains are always "delayed" when the weather isn't great). i wanted to go back after work to do about 45 minutes of cardio but i want to go home so bad & eat something good, maybe sit in the hot bath, put my feet up and go to SLEEP. if i dont go back after work would anyone view me as a procrastinator or failure?

yes, i'm trying to shed about 7-8 pounds, get some "mean" definition in my belly, build my legs up so they look beautiful and get some arm definition also

Our emotional health is important, too. You worked out this morning, and you don't feel well. It's nothing that you should be ashamed of. Treat yourself to that hot bath. The gym will be there waiting for you tomorrow.

The gym can help you with PMS, can get your mind off of your pimple, and make you feel better! I would go. Then go home and eat something naughtier than normal...because you put in all that work at the gym so you can "afford" it. Then soak your feet in a nice steamy bath and crash. Ahhhhh.

No you would not be a procrastinator or failure, everyone needs a day off. Given your circumstances, I think the going to the gym would suck in getting there but would give you a pick me up and stress relief shortly thereafter.

That said...if you reeeeaaaly want the day off...make this your strength training only day and do bunches of crunches, arm work, and leg work...from home. Or if you have to have cardio, get off the train one stop early and hoof it home. The rain will make you go faster.

You know if anything I think you need to work out today more than ever. It's a bad day you are full of stress. The pimple makes you feel bad. The worst mood has filled you wiht hostility that needs to go out. It's a crappy day.

Go take it out on something. Just do the cardio. You need to not do something sweet like the treadmill or biking. Do something forceful to get rid of this horrible evil lucky day. The world is trying to sufficate you--fight back. Do kickboxing class, or punch the punching bag for a bit. Do something mean that will spend the negative energy.

When ever I have a horrible day, I go to kickboxing class and imagine someone I'm trying to beat up. I imagine evil guys like exboyfriends or criminals and old men who yell and scream at you for your dog trampling their flowers. I think about all those times when I didn't say anything and reply it with what I SHOULD have said and how I should have told them off while I'm punching or kicking the air.

Sometimes exercise can make us feel better when we are feeling crappy. However, there is also a time when our bodies just need rest.
30 minutes this morning is still a good workout. I am trying to get to the gym every day, if only for 20 minutes, but after a bad day yesterday with a lot of crying involved, I was just too emotionally and physically spent. I decided staying home and resting was the right thing to do.
One evening of relaxing won't hurt. Just make up the time at the gym tomorrow!

Go home and eat a bowl of ice-cream or eat a chocolate bar...it'll make you feel a lot better.

You need a break...be satisfied with the 1/2 hour you did this morning....it's more than enough.

Get back on track tomorrow.....
