It is actually very addictive and terribly bad for you. Try mandating that you drink 8-12 oz of water each day. Then you won't be as thirsty and you'll find when you open a coke, that after a couple sips you aren't as thirsty as you thought. If you do that, up it to 24 oz of water a day. That is better for your body and rehydrates it--which caffeine beverages dont do very well anyway which is why you still feel thirsty after you finish one. Then drink 2 glasses of alternate beverage--either lemonade, 100% juice or milk. And never drink caffeine when working out. Just adding that much liquid to your diet will stop you from drinking so much caffeine--b/c your body can't handle it. Also, buy a 2 L instead of cans. Then use the smallest glasses. Fill your lil tiny glass with coke and go sit down in the other room to drink it. Now if you want more, you have to get up and walk back to the kitchen. Get it out of the fridge and pour it into the glass. You will drink a lot less when you have to "earn" it, so to speak.

I had the same problem. Used to be at least a six pack a day. Try easing out drinking so much Coke. First try and switch to Diet Coke or Coke Zero. I found that Coke Zero taste much better than diet. Then slowly, start switching to water every other time you want a soda.
One of the reasons I found myself drinking so much soda was because it was conveinent. So easy to go the vending machine, buy one and just open it. Try keeping water or juice or something always with you. It will help reduce your temptation for a Coke.

Try getting addicted to some nutritional drink... orange, apple, and other good drinks, or you can drink smoothies. Drink coke but not so much that you think about it 24/7.

you need to stop! I once did an experiment, and if you put a human tooth in a glass of coke, it will disintegrate in 2 days. Does that help?

Find something sweet as a substitute (V-8 Splash). I went through that, at one time, with regular Dr. Pepper. I thought I'd die before I curbed it!
