Probably not. If arthritis prevents you from dancing it will probably prevent you from kickboxing as well as kickboxing is high impact. The best things for someone with bad arthritis is low impact cardio. Eliptical machines, ski machines, rowing machines are good for bad joints as they have fluid motion, not jarring motion like running. Also try yoga and pilates as they are good for toning.
Havin arthritis is going to cause a lot of problems with losing weight and what you really don't want to do is hurt yourself farther. However on your own you might give it at a small amount of pain isn't of pushing yourself far enough to cause a difference in your weight. I suggest you consult with a trainer with a degree in nutrition. The best way for you to lose weight is going to be by reducing you calorie intake. You should be eatting around 1600 calories a day. Cut out all soda, desserts and alcohol from your diet for a month. Doing that will dramatically help your weight loss. Consult someone with a degree for you do not want to overaggrevate your joints.

Best form of exercise for you , is to do your kickboxing or dance routines in the swimming baths !
The water takes the weight off your joints , thus avoiding more damage.......and the water also provides resistance , which makes the movements , harder and more beneficial to do !
There is a device called an Aquajog , which allows you to jog in deep water......same principle. I bought one...just to test it.....and whereas I didn't find it very useful.....I don't have arthritis !
The Aquajog , is like a rubbery life jacket type thing....which stops you sinking, if you fall over.......and keeps you upright , if you want to jog etc , in deep water .
Many Martial Artists , train in deep water, to improve their strength , stamina , suppleness and speed !
Even racehorses have their own swim-training places now ! Honest Injun !
Weight Loss ? Eat more salad , fruit and vegetables ,
Eat less of fatty foods , foods cooked in fat , sweet sugary foods , sweet drinks , cakes , biscuits , chocolates candy etc ........
