When they cant make it solo as a rock, opera or folk artist then they get put in bands.

Frankly I dont think they sound much better at all.

Banding has nothing to do with being feather footed. Feather footing is when the legs and toes are covered in feathers.

Banding is when a ring of plastic or metal is put around a bird's leg for identification. This may be coloured to identify a bird as part of a breeding program, or as an individual. In this case they are usually removable and plastic.

Some leg bands are issued by the national authority on poultry, e.g. the Poultry Club of Great Britain, or the American Poultry Association. These are permanent (cannot be taken off), the birds are registered with the appropriate club, and there are numbers on there to identify the bird, the year it was hatched and the owner. If you wish to sell the bird then the relevant club must be informed of the change of ownership. These leg bands are always metal and permanent, and sometimes they are colour coded by the year of hatch.

Banding is where you put a plastic or metal band/ring around the chickens leg. Most use this as a form of identification. Usually when you do is you hold the leg of the animal and then squeeze the toes together and slip on over the toes and up onto the ankle. When the chicken then stands it won't fall off, sometimes farmers will squish the band a little to make it fit tighter and to ensure that it won't fall off.

well some cheffs do something about it check it out

band that chicken

Yield: 4 Servings
275 gram Boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 Lettuce heart
1 tablespoon Sesame paste (tahini) or Subst 1 Tbsp creamy peanut butter mixed with:
1 teaspoon Sesame seed oil
1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
1 tablespoon Vinegar
2 teaspoon Chilli sauce
1 teaspoon Sugar

SAUCE (Recipe from: Taste of the Orient, Ed. Jeni Wright) Put the chicken in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently for 10 mins. Remove chicken from the pan, reserving the liquid. Beat the chicken with a rolling pin until soft, then pull the meat into shreds with your hands. Leave to cool. Cut the lettuce leaves into shreds and place on a serving dish. Arrange the chicken shreds on top. Mix the sauce ingredients with a few tablespoons of the reserved cooking liquid.* Pour evenly over the chicken. Toss the ingedients just before serving, or at the table. * I would let the chicken stock continue to simmer and reduce, then use the concentrated stock

The only reference I know of is a band.A band is an identification tag that goes around the chickens ankle. With chickens this is typically only done with show or registered chickens. They also use bands for health certification. In order to ship chickens to certain areas they are required to be checked by a vet and banded to show they are free of certain diseases.

Place a small metal ring with identification around one of the chickens feet. That is banding.
