I live in southern New Hampshire, you could probably find all this for like $30 or $40, depending on which store you go to. Veggies and rice are pretty inexpensive, meat is a little more expensive for good quality. I can answer housing questions if you want to send me an email about it, we've been doing house shopping as well.

It varies depending on the city. Some places have a low cost of living, but also they have lower wage jobs to go right along with it. the house studio guest house any thing Renting a house can run you 1000-3000 a month, depending on where you live, and not including bills. Studios and guest houses, apartments also, usually run from 500-2000 a month. Food- if you want to eat quality food, not all the processed crap that comes cheap will run you AT LEAST $50 a week-and that's ONLY if you don't eat out. If you go to restaurants etc. it will probably run you 100. So 200-400 a month for food. Electric bill will probably be 50-150 dollars. Mobile will vary- depends on how much you plan to use it, if you don't plan to have a landline it will probably run you at LEAST 30 a month. You also will have to pay money for the university AND the books. You'll need to buy a printer for school, supplies etc. You'll need money for transportation as well. If you're going somewhere where the cost of living is higher, California, New York, Florida, I'd say you need just 4,000-5,000 dollars for the first month to get settled. It sounds like a lot, but the people will want you to pay up front in cash for rent. You'll probably have unexpected expenses you need to take care of-that 5,000 won't last you long. If it's a lower cost area 2000-3000. But that's depending on how well you manage money.

I'm in the north bay of CA and these are all Safeway prices.

#1 was $.99 yesterday. Sometimes they're 2 for 1.
#2...we buy 5 lbs of ground round at a time and it's $9.99.
#3 A gallon of milk is around $2.60
#13 A dozen eggs today was $2.69
#15 A bag of pintos is $.89
#16 Anything canned is usually around a dollar depending on the brand.
#18 A 10 lb bag of basmati rice is around $13.
