Our purpose is to serve God-the method of serving Him differs based on His will for the individual. He gave each of us our own individual talents and we are expected to use them in His service. We must seek His guidance in how we are to serve.

Hello Jason W,
As a believer I think the purpose of human life it to service the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, some people see it as a cult, however the gospel of Jesus is real, Try him.

When Adam and Eve were created they were put in the garden of Eden with the command to “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:28) It was going to give them satisfying work to do in beautiful surroundings.
However, we read this in Gen 2:15-17 And Jehovah God proceeded to take the man and settle him in the garden of E′den to cultivate it and to take care of it. 16Â And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17Â But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”
They were told to leave one tree alone, and the punishment if they ate from it was death. So, if they had chosen not to eat, if they had chosen to listen to their creator - they would have been alive today, and we wouldn't be in the mess we are in.
However, God's purpose for the earth has not changed (Isaiah 55:10,11). The earth will be a paradise and the meek will inherit it and live in peace (Psalm 37:10,11) and what's more they will live forever (Psalm 37:29)

No. Actually, our original purpose was to live on earth eternally and serve Jehovah. But when Adam and Eve sinned, everything changed. Now that the price for our sin has been payed through Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to live eternally again as Jehovah's children here on earth in paradise.

well i don't call 100 years, a few. i often read about these questions, of purpose and why we are here. you must be either young or haveing a mid life crisis. because after quite a few years of living and learning about life, love , kids and whats beyond the stars. you don't question as much about purpose, you just live the purpose and know........
we are here and we live, love, cry, kill, pray and help others. till that journey is over and we must go on to the next journey. it is just that simple, nothing major, like people think, it is just simple. but that in itself is major, to me.........

Creativity comes from chaos.
Therefore we are either here to create new things (thoughts, ideas, possibilities, etc) or to better ourselves in order to be a part of a higher scale (assuming the reincarnation is often necessary!). Or both.
Really, there could be a million different reasons that the human mind is not even capable of understanding.
Though I highly doubt that we are here as God's personal ant farm...

Were humans made? Does the universe owe you something personally? Do you deserve a purpose to your life? Are you so important that all of creation owes it to one speck on an insignificant plantet in a backwater galaxy that is merely a speck itself in the entirety of the universe, a reason to life?
Live and love, it's the best anyone can hope for.

Hope the following could answer your question.
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
(New Testament | Matthew 5:48)
48 Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect.
(Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 12:48)
32 For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.
(Book of Mormon | Alma 34:32)
22 And now, behold, if Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.
23 And they would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin.
24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.
26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.
27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.
(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 2:22 - 27)

You know the book called Revelation that quite a few pastors say nothing about because they say no one can understand it.
That book gives you the "Purpose of Life" and even promises a blessing if you will read the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power
for You have created all things, and for your pleasure
they are and were created.
Right there it explains why we were created. I was created for God's pleasure. God wanted me. I pleasure God. When God sees me He is happy. God loves me. AND HE LOVES YOU TOO.
