My impressions are that most of them cannot even accept Islam as a religion in this world and presume that all Muslims are terrorists. Of course that is not the case because 23% of the world's population are not terrorists. People get confused with a lot of terrorists being Muslims, not a lot of Muslims being terrorists. The Qu'ran does not teach or tolerate violence but the terrorists manipulate it in such a way that they are able to justify their evil actions and corrupt the message of the Qu'ran. Our fight is against radicals and terrorists, not Islam.

I am American and my husband is a Moroccan Muslim. We live in Morocco where the majority or people are Muslim. I have no trouble with Muslims, here or in the US. I have found them to be kind, caring and honest. My future children will be raised as Muslims, and I have no problem with that.

I have not gotten the opportunity to meet any Muslims abroad, but the ones I have met in the United States were very respectful and nice.

Some Muslims are great, some are jack@$Ses.
But saying that after 9/11 it is hard to trust Muslims is just an excuse to give in to your own xenophobia.
Did the people who say this stop trusting Christians after Timothy McVeigh bombed the federal building in Oklahoma? or after the KKK (protestant organization) lynched blacks in the Southern U.S.?

To be honest, most Americans think that Muslims are terrorists and murderers. Of course, reading the Koran also gives that impression. It is only the Muslim extremists who are that way, but there are many of them. After 9/11, it's very very hard to trust Muslims.
