When you drain the hot water, give the pan a really good couple shakes to crack the shells while running the cold water over them. Then let them sit for about 10-15 minutes and the shells will slip right off.

I drain the hot water from the pan and fill it several times with running cold water. Then I let the eggs sit for a minute and peel them under running water.

The fresher your eggs the more difficult to peel as the albmen is still very much attached to the shell lining and can be a nightmare to get off, leaving you with some pretty battle weary eggs.

To avoid this I never boil eggs out of a new carton. I buy them by the crate and only boil those that are left over at the end of the week or at the end of two weeks. And I always refrigerate eggs, no matter what anyone says. I have had bad eggs, twice, and I will never ever eat another egg that hasn't been refrigerated..

They gagets won't work unless you boil the eggs properly in the first place. Put the eggs in a pans and just cover with water. Add 1 Tbs vinegar. Bring to a boil. Cover and turn off heat. Let sit for 10 min. After 10 min strain and cover with ice cold water. Peel as soon as they are cool enough to handle. The longer they sit the harder they are to peel.

If you put a little vinegar in the water when you boil the eggs, it makes it a little easier to peel them after sitting in cold water for a few minutes.

Pour salt in the water when you boil the eggs!!!! The salt does something that makes the peel come off. Then peel them under running water. IT WORKS!!!!

Once you have cooked the egg, shock the egg in ice bath. Once its cool enough to peel it should have shrunk enough for you to just roll on the counter and the peel should come right off.
