Yes we do. This is another question that should be brought up weekly until people get it.
I'm a die hard Jesus Freak. I love the Lord. I read the bible daily. Pray the Divine Office. blah blah blah.
But there are many times, even more than once a day, that I forget this all important teaching of Jesus.
Shame on me.
God says that vengance is his. And blessed are those who happily suffer indignities for the sake of the kingdom.
It is very difficult to do.

So? Jesus said a lot of things, including how to beat your slaves. It's called the pick-and-choose method that Christian and other religious "moderates" can use to actually believe in their religion. It allows them to say they believe things, as long as it doesn't directly contradict common sense or reality. This is why some Christians believe women can teach or speak in church, or that the worldwide flood is "symbolic" and not a true event. If they truly read what they bible said without the pick-and-choose method, they'd put it with The Book of the Dead or anything written about Zeus.

He didn't make it a Commandment (as in the 10 Commandments). That is the Mosaic Law, and He came to fulfill the Law, not to make it more difficult to live by.
He did instruct us to love one another. That applies to loving other Christians and non-Christians. But not to love sinful life styles.
Turning the other cheek is only difficult if you are a human being. That difficulty applies to all of mankind.

"Turning the other cheek" just means to be forgiving...NOT to sit there and take getting slaaped on the cheek and then offer the other one to be slapped! That's just stupid!
