I don't understand why people who have clearly NEVER read anything about Joan of Arc feel the need to voice an uneducated opinion.

For "Angel" who thinks Joan was just a cleaver girl - you should know her trial transcripts still exist. You can even buy them in book form. "Joan of Arc. In Her Own Words." It doesn't include the entire trial transcript. Only "her own words."

For the individual who said she spoke to saints and not angels - again, read up before you answer. One of her "main" advisors was St. Michael the Archangel.

I have read a number of books about St. Joan. I believe she was the genuine article. I believe God sent messengers, saints and angels, to a simple peasant girl. Being simple and uneducated - she was more apt to listen and to trust. In fact, the only time she was injured was when she didn't listen and didn't trust.

She beat the most competant military generals of her time.

Her trial was a farce. Much like the trials of Edmund Campion or Guy Fawkes.

I have no idea. I can't give you a straight answer since I wasn't with her during that time. If it's a matter of believing, well anything is possible. But I don't think that there is any proof that angels really did speak to her. Let's not forget that she lived centuries ago and that alot of time has passed since that happened, and stories tend to get twisted with time. I think she was just a smart girl who knew how to save France, and by the time she reached the ears of the 21th century, people had turned her into a girl who had spoken with angels. However, catholics believe in her , and believe her to be a saint. Who knows? She might be. I'll say 99.9% that she was a normal girl and 0.1% that she talked to angels. Take your pick .

As I remember it wasn't Angles, but Saints who spoke to her. I do not believe the departed saints,(note I didn't cap.), can speak to us from Heaven. Angles may, but I doubt J of A was communing with Angles.
