I am just wondering what kind of diet i should follow while I am training for a 1/2 marathon. I am obviously running longer, harder and more frequently than normal. What kinds of foods should I focus on to keep my body healthy? Please be specific. Thanks

Just try to eat a normal balanced diet.
avoid fast foods, anything high in fat, and soda with sugar in it. when you start doing very long training runs, you may want to up your carbs a bit, but thats it.

When I was training for such distance, I never worried too much about diet, just all the pizza and beer I could get. Somehow, strenuous exercise had a way of making up for the ills of imperfect dieting. Just make sure you are getting plenty of water all day long and sufficient vitamins.

Good Luck
