You could also say "Que Dios me ayude".

If you're praying (saying that directly to God) you say "Dios, ayúdame"
If you say it like something that you wish or hope for, it is: "Que Dios me ayude"

yeah las esposas are the handcuffs and la esposa is the wife but las esposas can be the wives, too its like in english you say : bat but it can mean the animal bat or the bat to play baseball depeding on the context.
