The other posters have given you good names on what this steroid could have been.

many times people get a reaction such as you are experiencing from a steroid injection. They feel like their legs are like Jello, groggy, and nauseous. This could also be from the influenza.

Contact the emergency room and find out what drug you were given and if it's normal to experience the symptoms you are going through. ask if there's any thing you can do to stop the sensations you are going through.

It's always best to fully understand a medicine before you use it.

Please dont hesitate to call the ER and ask them to give you the information you need. also Medical records dept will have a copy of your report which you can get but you have to go in person.there is a steroid called depro-medrol but it doesnt cause the side effects you are having. If the E R wont release the info over the phone call your family dr and have his office get the information for you. Good Luck

possibly dexamethasone or decadron my friend but they may have given you a narcotic instead called dilaudid. It sounds as though you had a narcotic rather than a steroid, but you may have had both. Steroids normally don't make people feel like crap. But dilaudid can cause severe nausea and grogginess.

decadron usually used during an asthma attack and it relaxes the overworked muscles from coughing. My son has been on it for the last 10 days and has been in la-la land ever since he started it.

WHY WOULD YOU LET anyone INJECT ANYTHING IN YOUR BODY if you dont even know what it is?

i would have to be incoherent to let that happen.

next time DEMAND to know , thats what docs. get paid to do.
