Without knowing anything about the songs themselves, what extension / what format / etc. You left us with nothing to diagnose. I am afraid my psychic powers are not developed enough to pull them out of your head directly. Just tell me already.

If you are on the internet then when media player tries to open the file it should automatically try to download the codec needed to play the file. If the file was an MP3 then it may have some encoding that Ares have encrypted it with so that you may only be able to play the file in their application or on their site.

This place has quite a few codec's:
http://www.afreecodec.com/

In the options for WMP10, you can set it to download needed codecs automatically if you want,
(This was you don't have to hunt them down yourself.)

By Default,
Windows Media Player should automatically download codecs:
(Check to see if the feature was disabled).

1. Open Windows Media Player

2. On the Tools menu, click Options.

3. On the Player tab, check the Download codecs automatically check box.
