Just track your calories, fat and sugar. Do this on an Internet site: http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/Index.html
I lost 15 pounds in a month just by watching what I ate and eating healthier. I had 2 pieces of fruit for breakfast at about 9am. Then for lunch I would have a diet meal (though those are high in sodium) at 12. At 3 I would have a salad. Then I would have a light dinner around 6 pm. And a fruit or veggies for a snack later in the evening. I drank nothing but water all day and a cup of coffee in the morning with one sugar and skim milk. I also tracked every piece of food I put in my mouth. I kept my calories between 750 and 1100 a day and wasn't hungry because I spread my food out through out the day rather then having a couple big meals.
Fad diets do not work. But changing your eating habits and lifestyle does. I didn't exercise, but if I did I probably would have lost 20 pounds.
Good luck and congrats on your weight loss to date.

Firstly, congrats on all the weight loss!
it isn't surprising that you are losing weight because when teenagers hit the growth spurt, there are a sequence of events. first is fat/weight growth, then height, then muscle. Once the last two are hit, the fat redistributes and you proportionalize more.
To be upfront with you, the reason there are mixed facts ain all diets, is because "diets" don't work. They very word implies deprivation which drives your mind into a frenzy. we all know how true this is, because when we're on a diet, the mere thought of chocolate cake sends us into a drooling frenzy.
The better way to think about it, is a change in lifestyle. it can't be just a temporary thing, because that's why 95% of people regain their weight. Find cleaner healthier alternatives to the foods you love. Finding healthy tasty food is kind of fun!
lean protein, essential fats, complex carbs, fruits and veggies, water, and exercise. those are the only ingredients you need for weight loss.
Your body will indeed go into 'starvation mode" if you deprive it too much. try not to surpass a 500 calorie defecit every day, and alternate your calorie intake by giving yourself a few days a week where you eat maybe only 200-300 calories below your maintenance level.
always allow yourself a cheat meal every week.
remember, slow weight loss (1 or 2 pounds a week) is the weight that STAYS lost.

One that worked well for me is at www.Provida.com however you have to pay some bucks to get it. It's true about the famine mode, your metabolism will slow if you start to starve. You have to eat to keep it going, just change what you eat. Let's shoot for 6 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones.
So instead let's try trimming out most of the breads. Think of all the wheat it takes to make one slice of bread. If that were just cooked wheat instead, it would more than fill you up....you wouldn't need the meats, cheese, etc to finish the sandwich.
Another rule along that line is eliminate anything white: no wheat, rice, sugar, white potato (yeah, all the good stuff) and limit milk to a glass a day.
Instead of most cereals, look at oatmeal or the oat based cereals.
When is comes to eating meat, the piece should be no larger than your palm. Ideally poultry and fish is better than red meat, but then you knew that (we just hate to follow it). Red meat not every day......you work out a schedule.
You already know fried foods are bad (but they do taste good, save them for a treat when your weight gets down there)
So what's a 15 year old suppose to eat??!! Start with oatmeal at breakfast and a protein (nobody said it had to be an egg.....could be left over chicken for dinner) and a piece of fruit. Mid morning have another piece of fruit and protein (ah, here it is tough, one of those little cheese balls or some nuts (just a small palm full). Actually your could get away with an apple with peanutbutter stuffed down the center core.
Lunch is tough since you are with your buddies. Here's where you can have the meat sandwich but pile on the veggies instead of extra meat, no cheese. No fries,. Or get a baked potatoe smothered with chile, scrape off the cheese. Also get a salad or fruit. If you are stuck with the guys and they go out for burgers, don't go for the biggie size anything. The idea is to eat often but smaller portions.
Another midafternoon snake should be a veggie but how to get by your friends?......maybe salsa and veggies and chips, you stick with the veggies. You can nibble on a few chips to keep the guys from giving you a hard time.
Dinner should be sensible. Eat more veggies and fruit, some meat and limit the carbs.
Later on you can always have a hardboiled egg and fruit later.
Avoid the protein shakes and diet drinks. They are adding calories and not really filling up your stomach. Your stomach needs real food, not some predigested poweder in milk.
Instead drink a lot of water. I mean a lot! You should always have a bottle in hand and be swigging from it. Refill it as you pass a water fountain, you don't need to keep buying new ones. Once a day start a new bottle. Pass on the soda in favor of the water. It's cool to drink water these days.

Whatever diet you decide on, do not choose one that involves cutting meals out of your day. Also, stay away from the diets that insist you remove any particular food group from your diet (such as the no carb diets). At your age, you're still developing and need balanced nutrition.
Your best bet is to get into a program that has you eating small meals and healthy snacks 4-6 times a day. This will keep your metabolism up and help the weight come off naturally.
A moderate exercise program on top of this will improve your cardiovascular system as well. There's no need to kill yourself in the gym. Just go out for a walk every day.

Whenever planning on losing a massive amount of weight, you really need to see a Dr to watch. But remember it's not a diet it a corrective eating habit your looking for...you will never be able to eat like you did to get where your at now...get lots of exercise, drinks at least 8 glasses of water, No breads, Carbs or sweets, try doing that for a month you'll love the results...try walking to most of your events and maybe join a sport....shut off the TV and video games, before you know it you'll be losing it, you first need to make sure you don't have any medical problems then go for it.Remember tho it didn't take over night to gain all this weight,,and it wont take over night to lose it,if you lose it fast you'll gain it all back and then some. Good luck...

I have a favorite..it's called "Idiot proof diet" It's super fast and NO STARVING..I think people fail at diets because they are either deprived or just plain hungry!!!!
You eat 4 times a day and eat lots of protein and drink lots of water. My hubby was big and he lost 15 pounds the first week (again I stress he was big) I lost 8 pounds and I was just chunky (so that's still amazing to me)

Diets work for a short wile but one cannot live their lives on a diet. The best way is walking and light exercise. Count your calorie intake and drinking allot of water. Slow but sure but it will certainly work for you. Good luck sweetie.

My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 16 pounds in 9 days:)...check out this site....w w w .cleansewithcgnj .com
It will change your life:)
the main reason for obesity in this country is because of all the toxins we ingest on a day to day basis.....When you ingest a toxin, the liver takes a fat cell and surrounds the toxin to protect it from your vital organs.....That’s why traditional diets do not work....they don't get rid of the toxins....so your body refuses to shed the fat....So, when you do this cleanse and get all the toxins out of your system, the body recognizes this and begins to shed the fat....
