ask them for their address to send them $. Then send them a letter demanding they communicate with you ONLY in writing. Make sure to cc (at the bottom of the page) the Federal Trade Commission. This is the gov't agency that regulates debt collectors (not in-house debt collection dept.'s, only independent debt collection agencies). If they still keep bothering you, actually file a complaint with the FTC. Also, they can only talk directly to you or an immediate family member about your debt. They can't even acknowledge they are a debt collection agency to anyone else. So if they call, ask for their name and reason for calling. If it is clear it is a debt collector, have some fun. Tell them you are a different person but that the person they want just walked in- then have a fake conversation with the 'other person'. Put the debt collector on hold. Pretend you are having a beer or maybe sex with the 'other' person. In short, just mess with them as much as you can. It's fun and there's nothing they can do about it.

Provide proof of payment and set your office number on the national Do Not Call list (www.donotcall.gov ). Let the collector know the debt has been paid (forward documentation)in full and any future contact will be logged as a violation of the Do Not Call registry as well as a violation of your right to work and you will file suit. You have rights and you could also consult a Credit Counselor (http://www.credit-counselors.cc/)for FREE they will advise you of your rights to no harassment especially from unscrupulous collectors such as this. Good Luck!

When they call again take down the callers's name (first and last), the company they work for, the company's phone and fax numbers, and their supervisor's name (first and last).
Now call the supervisor of the company and find out who their supervisor is. Write it down. Now tell the person about the situation and ask what they want you to do. Follow their instructions.
If this doesn't stop, call the next supervisor up the line. It shouldn't take more than 1 time to resolve this.

Well there isn't anyone that you can report it to other than providing the company with documentation proving that you satisfied the loan. If you can't provide them with that, then you are looking some seriously annoying calls for quite some time.

Tell them you are not allowed personal calls at your place of employment and they have an alternate number to call you at (home) if it doesn't stop, call Dept. of Consumer affairs in your state (Federal Trade Commission usually) and report them, this can usually be all done on line as well.
