The only sensitive guys at my highschool who write or play guitar drink or do drugs. While guys who like to write or play music and such are a big turn on- drugs and alcohol aren't. Is there any guy out there who isn't like this? Yeah, I'm into having a good time, but I can do it without drugs and alcohol. I think you can have just as much fun-legally- with a bunch of energy drinks. Sometimes guys laugh at me because I don't drink and I'm still a virgin. Why aren't guys respectful? Whats so wrong with me wanting to be healthy? And I'm not just going to give up my virginity to just anybody.
Basically, I don't get why so many guys think that girls will think the are "cool" if they do drugs and drink alcohol. Any guys out there willing to object?

alot of times its peer pressure that leads some guys to get into drinking and drugs at that age, and sometimes it is because they feel more "grown up" if they do it.
you're right in that you don't have to have alchohol or drugs to enjoy life, and i applaud you for that. don't worry about not being able to find a guy, the right one for you will come along eventually, but hold on to your beliefs, and don't let others bash you for them.

ok, i dont know if you know but I've added you as a buddy so I've been looking at your questions and i think you should too. Lots of your questions are about...boys. Why do you let them have such a huge effect on you. even though you say you dont act desperate the truth is...you are! most of your questions are about why everyone else is dating and you aren't.
Now i understand how it feels to want a boyfriend as I'm in highschool too and feel basically the same way, but dont let your world evolve around guys. When you stop looking for a boyfriend is when you will really see the guys at your school fro who they are, not what you think they are, that's when you'll get a boyfriend.

Girl that is normal. Especially in high school. There are alot of people experimenting and they just wanna know.
I think you are doing things the smart way. Keep your focus. This is the start of your future. You will find the guys who do exactly what you like later.
Good for you. Wait for the right man. If he can't respect that then he isn't the right man. He will wait for you. Just don't be naive with his feelings.
Guys don't think like us or know what to expect from us. They have there own ideas that really don't do it for me.
I found mine and I got lucky. No drugs or alcohol b/c that is a turn off and it is going on 5 year and soon to be married. So they are out there but it is still to early to find him.

I'm a sensitive straight guy who reads romance novels. Like you I'm also a virgin by choice. I don't do drugs and I don't drink. I play different instruments including flute, piano and guitar, and I love to go to the gym to play ball and lift. So i think that there are guys out there who are sensitive and don't do bad things. If not, I'm the only one out there :) And yes I do think that its awesome that you dont do drugs or sleep around with other people.

Basicly they want to drag you into what they get into in order to have them at their level. Im not sure what you are expecting (seems you may have high standards, a guy who is both sensitive doesnt do drugs and plays guitar). The main problem with sensitive quiet types is exactly that, they are quiet.
Dont get sucked into the whole "oh im in highschool i must have a boyfriend" thing your friends are most likely trying to get you into, just relax have some fun and you will probally attract the kind of guy u like (heh dont quote me on that)

I am not like that, I also believe in a healthy relationship and having a good time, without smoking or drinking. I wish I'd known what High School do you go to, because I don't smoke,drink, or anything like that, maybe we could of met but anyways to answer your question it's maybe because of popularity or society, teens think that smoking and drinking gets them more popular and makes them look more cool, in which they decide to do that, It does make them popular, but at what cost, and afterall they become popular with the wrong people.

Rock on, girl! You are so totally right, and I'm so glad that there's actually someone out there who thinks the same way I do: sensibly. It so seems like there are no perfect guys out there who don't drink or smoke, but there are guys out there, you just need to keep on looking! And whatever you do, don't submit to peer pressure (I know you won't). Guys have very uncomplicated minds, so they think that by just smoking/drinking the girls will love them, even though that's not really the case.

No i totally agree with you. Some guys are just plain stupid and give us all a bad name. I dont give a rat's *** if you're a virgin or not! Or if you drink or do drugs (well, maybe i do care about that)! The guys at your school are stupid, no offense.
