"Based on Jesus' pattern for making, maturing and mobilising disciples, this vision centres on groups of twelve people called cells. Cells exist for the purpose of discipleship and evangelism, and they expect to grow and multiply - eventually reaching our city, our nation and the nations of the world with the gospel."

Watch and listen. If there is illegal activity going on, such as false imprisonment or fraud, you may be able to assist the police or the parents of a victim in bringing the group down. But do be careful. Some of these groups are not adverse to violence when it suits their purposes.

But there are also perfectly legitimate and voluntary religious groups that get accused of being cults because they are different from the "normal" religious practices. It is the voluntariness that is at issue. Free food is an ancient lure, and rock music certainly is a lure in many places. And do be careful of assuming that your former friends are not allowed to talk to you, when it may be that they simply do not want to.

If they are going for rock music and free food then it doesn't sound like a cult. People are not impressionable in the same manner that cattle are.

Try to find out more about them so when you tell your friends they have made a good or nad mistake you are armed with reasons why.
Don't just say- because the bible says so... tell them what chapter, verse, paragraph it's in.
Know more about that which you oppose so you can better understand the reason you oppose it.

Write me a big enough check and I'll let you join my cult. We'll protect you from those horrible people who don't believe the same things you believe! The nerve!

PS - What do you do? Mind your own business would be my advice.

I don't think that there's much that you can do. If they aren't breaking any laws then nothing can be done.
