Beagles love tracking! Teach your dogs how to track by hiding something (a treat), making it really easy to find the first few times until they get the hang of it, then start to make it progressively more challenging. Do it out in the back yard, your dogs will love it!

Do what they should be bred to do. Go hunting. No, you don't have to carry a gun just teach it to track a rabbit. It is so fun for you and your beagle. I want you to make sure you teach it some good obience first so when the race ends you can call him back easily. The best thing to do is find somebody that trains rabbit hunting dogs and they can also help you get started. It is a blast when you see the rabbit then see your dog doing what it does. That is bring back a rabbit in a circle back to you and maybe multiple times. Don't worry about the rabbit it will hole up and escape when it needs to. If you dog is registerd with a organization you can compete it may become Champion and maybe Famous.

1. Go hiking...beagles love to be out in the woods. I try to go to different mountains or state parks each weekend with my dog, its a great time of year to do that.

2. Set up a little obstacle course in your yard, I used to have a beagle and she loved to do little things like walk on a beam or jump over a low jump.

3. Dog parks are a lot of fun too.

Beagles love to spend time with people so as long as you are out socializing with them, they will enjoy that just as much.

Do you have a dog park in your area? Many urban or suburban areas have dog parks, which allow dogs to run around, off-leash, with other dogs and play. Most dog parks are part of regular parks, so they're free. Some of them have little obstacle courses for dogs, like ledges to jump off of and little tunnels to run through, like a playground for doggies. I bet your beagles would love that!

Dog parks are free and fun as long as they get along with other dogs. We like to just go out in the backyard and play ball. My daughter plays soccer and softball and our dog loves to chase after both types of balls. He never seems to tire of it.

Take them to the dog park and play fetch or let them swim in pools that allow dogs.
