why should people be slated just because they happen to not conform to popular religous belief stuctures?

sorry keep forgetting not all from england slated means to be given abuse or treated as though they have no brains or opinion it cames from the phrase mind like a blank slate

good answer AKA i do believe that people should be allowed to practise any belief they like as long as they are not harming anyone or ridiculing anyone else's beliefs

They shouldn't. I think people should believe what they want, just treat others with respect and get along.

Can you use "slated" in a sentence other than the one above? We are confused and don't want to read something that you don't mean into your thoughts!
Slighted! You mean slighted, right? It depends on how they act about it not necessarily that they ARE nonconformists. If you, for example, were obnoxious to people about the fact that you do "not conform to popular religious belief structures" then you may deserve to be slighted. If you keep your mind open to the fact that others are allowed to believe what THEY believe then you should not be slighted.

Tone down the violence. You're scaring some of us. How would you feel if you were burned alive or stoned. You would be in miserable pain and wouldn't want to suffer. Right? When you become the moral majority you can act how you please but for now those in power will make the rules thank you very much. That's why i do my thing without the use of churches, synagogues, temples and the like. Only me, Only God, only the truth.

Not slated. They should be stoned or burned alive. I don't know exactly how the choice is made. Stoning is perhaps more environmentally friendly.
