Like the song says, "Smilin' faces, they are lies, and I got proof."
It's possible you'll find as much masquerading at a New York society costume ball as you'll find in the typical Bible thumper church, but....I take it back. It's not possible.
The fact that someone says they are Christian proves nothing as far as character. The only Christian who's ever claimed otherwise to me was that moron Star Jones. But like Jones, almost all Christians would say they would trust a Christian before an atheist because they ignorantly assume that what isn't true of them, that they can be judged trustworthy as a group, is true of atheists in the reverse, i.e. that they may be assumed untrustworthy as a group.
As the posters above and below will demonstrate. Christians have all kinds of false assumptions about what atheists do and don't believe. They've created a boogie man image of atheism in their minds that has no basis in reality. It's like the Romans accusing Christians of cannibalism and vampirism beause of the communion ritual (they eat bodies and drink blood), and accusing them of drowning infants (because of baptism). So, in that sense, the pagan Romans proved you don't have to be a Christian to be a retarded bigot, but as some of the posters demonstrate, it does help.

Probably.
Athiests will sometimes have their own agenda if they have any brainpower about them at all... and I need to be careful not to inadvertantly change that agenda... But more confusingly still, some of them are real idiots and some just play at it... which confuses matters.
Christians on the other hand are pretty much -all- nonsensical idiots... but ultimately predictable in how simple-minded they are.
You can't always rely on an athiest to tell the truth.... but you can always rely on a christian to cough up the same bullsh!t time and time again... and a consistant liar is far more reliable than anyone "truthful".

No i wouldn't. Im not saying that Christians are not to be trusted, probably less so than an atheist, but i wouldn't trust them not to try to convert me into something i wouldn't want to be. I don't like being told what i should and shouldn't do. Don't take to it too kindly at all. I make my own mind up and i have no time for those that try to change that.

Depends on what I was trusting them with.
I hav never met a true Christian, in fact I don't think they really exist, and the people who refer to themselves as Christian are some of the most scary, blinded, angry and hateful people I have every met. So it would have to be atheist although only by default.
I have heard a lot of good things about Sikhs though!

How can you trust an atheist when they do not even know themselves. God lights pervades within everyone and everywhere. Thus God exists everywhere. A christian has love for everyone and therefore can be trusted. A christian understands that is the light of God within us all that shines our beauty and character forth.

Well, I am a Christian. I have been bought by the blood of the lamb: Jesus Christ! Yes I would trust a Christian because a Christian person is one that tries to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit. So they would not tell you anything that would be wrong for personnal gain. They would tell you the truth because they are lead by the Holy Spirit of God to be honest.

I only trust people I know I can trust. I have good family and friends that I know I can trust implicitly. Some are non-believers, some atheist and some Christians.
