Why do so many reverends who so-called preach Jesus turn around and are hateful, racist people? I've worked in retail and these so-called men of god, clad in hats and their sunday best, will look down on people who work in sales if they are another race, slam/fling the money on the counter, and act as if people of another race are a disease. That's hypocrisy. I don't think Jesus would have liked that nor would Martin Luther King (or anybody else who taught others to live a good life and not hate or judge). What's your opinion on that?

Actually I don't hate my job. A cookie would be nice though. A nap though? I just woke up and I feel energized, no thanks. :-)

OMG...I know it isn't just the reverends, but I'm asking specifically about the reverend types (the black reverends in particular). I know they're not all like that, whatever, but I'm asking why the ones who are ARE like that without being another yahoo answers so-called racist moron.

Priests and the such tend to be intolerant of other religions. Small differences in religion cause this. They should realize that we'll all be together in Heaven, so live with it!

Hi, i think that in the world there is a lot of hypocrisy and not only because a person is called man of God he has a clear conscience.. I've seen a lot of people that go to the church every week, but when they meet a people with different color of skin they are the first person who have prejudice. This is a stupid example..But the important think is believe in Jesus' goodness and follow his example, always !!!
Excuse me for my English,I'm Italian.

This is a way to tell the true religion, because Jesus told his followers that his people would have 'love among themselves.' That means loving others no matter what race they are. Find the religion who not only believes this, but also puts it into practice, and you have found the true religion.

Jesus, as well as the prophets, wanted people to help one another without judging. "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone." But please, let's not try to bring this to ONE religion. Mankind as a whole needs to HEAR the message and follow it. It is only in this way, can the world change.. one person, then two, four, and so on. Each person can do their part to help the world by being non judgemental and respecting one another.

those you are talking about aren't just like that toward other races. Its with anybody they deem unfit. They are so holy they must be better than a lowly sales worker. Ask them their thoughts on women in the work place, thats always and interesting conversation, lol.

I worked in retail as well...trust me, it's not just "so-called men of god" who behave this way. Many people simply don't know how to treat anyone else with respect.

There are a few exceptions with the men of God, like there was a betrayer among the apostles which is 1 out of 12...................so in a world so big you are bound to find a few like them

There is a lot of false Christianity in the US. A lot of people are what you call Sunday Christians. They go to church on Sunday but their life is rotten.

They preach brimstone and fire. I actually believe some Christians get off to the fact that non-believer will burn in hell. Modern christianity is very exclusive and belittling.

They are misguided in their religion. They do not truly understand their own religion, whatever it is. They have not truly been emersed in true faith. Those with true faith will understand that bigotry is nonsense and is no way beneficial to the human race.
