Who is the "Black Pope" and why is he such a "mystery" figure behind the scenes in the Vatican?

Thanks for the answers so far, people. I just heard about this last night. I have never heard of a "Black Pope" before. I thought maybe the person who told me about this really meant an African-American cardinal or bishop, or something like that. But he insisted he meant "Black Pope". Thanks for the info so far.

Pope Clement VI was a black pope.
Born Pierre Roger, Clement was abbot of Benedictine monasteries at Fécamp and La Chaise-Dieu before he became archbishop of Sens and Rouen and then a cardinal. He was strongly pro-French and was the fourth pope to reside in Avignon. Not only did he turn down an opportunity to return the papacy to Rome, he purchased Avignon from Joanna of Naples, whom he absolved of her husband's murder.

"Black Pope" is a light-hearted name given to the Superior General of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), usually by the media (and never used by the Jesuits themselves). The name comes partly from the color of the plain black priest's cassock worn by members of the society, including the superior general, and partly from a past concern (most prominent around the 16th and 17th centuries) amongst Protestant European countries concerning the relative power of the Jesuits within the Roman Catholic Church.

Look up Michael Tsarian. He has on-line videos on you tube that discuss the "Black Pope". He supposedly calls the shots in the background...tied up in masonry and the Cult of Aton.

He is the representative of the antichrist the real head of our Church. We can't let that be publicized. It is part of a conspiracy. We had to join forces with the Jews and the ILLUMINATI to stop the Masons. We are really devil worshipers trying to take over the world.
