They contain organic chemicals therefore they are organic by any reasonable definition no matter how they are grown.

It depends what the cows, goats or sheep ate as to whether they are organic or not. Many cows are fed on concentrates that certainly contain chemicals. Think if the cheeses are organic they would be labeled as such.
