And why don't we just admit your "truth" ie personal beliefs, religion pretty much only depend on the crapshoot of what region you were conceived?

"If you were born in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or Afghanistan, what are the chances you would be a Christian?"

Slim.

Ok, I admit it.

Other religions besides Islam are against the law in Saudi Arabia.

In Pakistan less than 1.5% are Christian. Pakistan law mandates that blasphemies against the Quran are met with punishment. Ayub Masih, a Christian, was convicted of blasphemy and sentenced to death in 1998.

The Afghan constitution, which is based on Sharia, or Islamic law, says that apostates can receive the death penalty.

So those three countries actually legally prohibit anyone from changing their religion or converting to Christianity.

Unlikely unless your parents were Christian and living in one of these countries.It.s not your personal belief but that of your parents and the religion of the country in which you were born that determines your ultimate religion. There do not seem to be many instances of people raised in Muslim countries who in later years query the validity of the religion they have been following and possibly change to another.Whether this is because the belief is so deeply ingrained in the mind with dire threats of what may happen if any dissent is thought about the teachings. Most Muslims seem to be fanatical about their religion and do not discuss their religion in comparison with others in reasoned debate.. They do not seem to be able to accept any form of criticism , the theme being that they can do no wrong.Echoes of Papal Infallibility?

Aha !!! My point exactly in my premise that there IS reincarnation; and that's its sole purpose is to give that man/woman a good 'shot' at hearing about and accepting Christ.

Soooo, one life I am in China with missionary parents; but, I don't accept Jesus...the next go around (100, 200, 300 years later) and I am in one of the god forsaken countries you named; during an earthquake.....The chances get slimmer and slimmer, over each lifetime. Ergo, it is a major gamble on each person's part (to wait and remain perpetually bewildered or ambivalent) AND on God's part, to "live by faith" that by giving each person chance/s, they will come to acknowledge a need of Him.

Wrap your brains around that one.

You probably wouldn't be a Christian.

By and large, most people remain in the religion to which their families or communities belong. There are those who seek other religions, or none at all, but they are in the vast minority overall.

The same chance that your question will convince any closed-minded religious nutball that they are wrong.

hey, what do you know, you think those 'absolute truths' are in large part dependent on the geographical location and time period you were born in?
