Hi everyone. I'm attending an event in the OC and I've never been on a plane EVER in my life! What all can I take with me in my carry-on bag?

This is 20 years of travel experience speaking here...

When it comes to carry-ons, "less is more, but nothing is nothing." Keep it simple. A book, a spiral notebook, a pen, a loaded MP3 player if you have one and that should do it. Maybe a a PDA like a Palm or Pocket PC. Long flight? Maybe a DVD player and headphones or laptop computer if you must work... but THAT'S IT!

Trust me--too much stuff becomes cumbersome and hard to carry through the airports.

You'll also want a cell phone and some cash with you for when you are on the ground, but you can't use the cell phone in flight.

NO MORE! THAT'S IT! TRUST ME! :)

I'm not sure why you'd want a swimming suit in your carry-on bag, and you could carry your camera if you're worried about checking it but I'd recommend against using it on the plane as it can make the other passengers uncomfortable.

Someone posted that you can't take food, water, or toiletries. That's incorrect. If it's a long flight and you don't have meal service, get a snack at the terminal (after going through security). Don't worry about water--they have plenty on board for you. And there are limits to the amount of liquid or jel cosmetics you can take, but you can take some if you think you must. Of course, check the rest.

Pretty much what everyone else has told you (less is more) so, think of it as a long car trip in a cramped space, but there is one thing people often overlook.

A plain has to compress the cabin so your air is recycled air. So, drink a packet of Emergen C to keep from getting a cold or flu that is air born throughout the cabin of the plain.

Ask the steward for a pillow and blanket to rest your head when you are tired of talking to the person next to you.

Oh my god, I favor there became a reduce and paste answer for this question. there is not any such element as a "Teacup"! surely none, no longer one, kennel club acknowledges the "teacup" length in any breed established. The time period teacup is utilized by using unscrupulous breeders to promote risky, undeserving runts to unsuspecting shoppers at an inflated value. i comprehend this sounds cruel, yet a valid, respected breeder doesn't have allowed a "teacup" length domestic dog to be bought, they could have humanely destroyed it at start. Sickly animals might want to no longer be bought, and they ought to never be bred. yet in case you rather desire a sickly, risky, undersized canines, i'm effective of you only Googled it, you need to locate 1000's of lower back backyard breeders prepared which could also help you spend you funds. Ohh, affected individual Paws, i'm able to't end guffawing at your answer. i in my opinion favor someone ought to hit the posters of those idiotic questions with a brick. If I had a nickel for anytime I actually have repeated a similar mantra about "teacups" i'd be wealthy.
