It really is hard to know what you mean here. If you are expecting an African-American spiritual revolution, I don't think you better count on the Calvinists. More likely it will be non-Christian, as Christianity has had several hundred years to try to engage the hearts of black people. Most of what has happened is that the parents become Christians, they seem too passive and accepting of racism ("Turn the other cheek," indeed!) to their children and grandchildren, and the young people go off to find a better way.
Many feel a sort of neo-tribalism (the invention of Kwanzaa, for example) is the best, which is often mixed up with politics. Unfortunately, some get caught up in a very militant Islam, or in an almost equally militant atheism/materialism.
In my opinion, each individual, no matter what color their skin, needs to find their own pathway to the Divine. "Different strokes for different folks" applies to religion as well as to everything else.
