No of course not - although tramp should not be a term of abuse either, they are just people that are down on their luck.

The UK government has said there will not be a blanket amnesty - but they will review all the old so-called legacy cases to see if removal is a practical option, and if it isn't they will consider giving them leave to remain. So, depending on your country of origin and other circumstances, there is a reasonable possibility that you will eventually be allowed to remain.

You should see if there is anything you can do to regularise your status before then. Keep getting legal advice from reputable people, as the situation is constantly changing. Please make sure you do not get into trouble with the police, for example by getting caught usung false papers towork with, as this would probably stop you getting leave to remain.

Good luck with everything.

No,but I'm sorry to have to tell you,Mr. Blair announced a while ago that there will be NO amnesty for illegals. Instead the Immigration system is to be tightened up, to make it firm but fair. Only yesterday,a young man, whose Asylum had been rejected, was taken to a detention centre, to await deportation, even though he has been in the UK for 8 years, married to a British woman, and has a two year old son. If you are here legally, you should not have a problem.

Wow, the house is full tonight, boys and girls!! Hi, Jane, lovely speech and your English was almost flawless but I would still like to see sight of your back!! Don't come that nonsense about us English becoming refugees or asylum seekers if something drastic occurred and were left along needing help!! We were on our own during world war two and it was our grandparents who fought for us tooth and nail without much griping from others who would not help us out. They tried their damnedest to hammer us into the ground but where were you and yours, Jane? The truth of the matter is that you want to take advantage of the benefits and freedoms that our soldiers, sailors and airmen died for to ensure we continued to have a safe and secure future. Don't you dare dictate to us about bigotry and all that crap because you know darned well that we,small as we are, are still the best country and people on God's green earth. So, refugee or asylum seeker, it cuts not ice either way. Learn to speak proper English, shut the f**k up or p**s off back to where you come from because you have contributed nothing to this country and, in historical and traditional terms, you should be bloody grateful to know that all those deaths in our forces over the years have paved the way for you to spout off in a country which is not yours.

you work for amnesty........what do you see...asylum seekers are in genuine need and these people are not (and never were) cause for the British community to voice concern over immigration, unfortunately most the asylum seekers coming to the country today are false seeking only handouts or to benefit from a generous welfare system

No I definetly dont. I think that you have faced upheaval having to flee your country of origin and cant imagine how you have done this and settled into a new country.

A lot of people spend too much time reading The Sun rather than actually thinking before they speak out about against immigration and asylum seekers.

Good luck xx

No. They are asylum seekers. I doubt most people have any issue at all with political asylum seekers; the problem seems for many to be with economic migrants instead.

Not all of them. The real refugees or asylum seekers are persons with real reasons to ask for this status because theirs lives are in a real danger; The U.N. Comission is very clear about that.

In UK or elsewhere (some countries only);if you are a real one and you can prove it with real documents, don't worry, you will get your legal papers.Counseling is very recommended

no
genuine asylum seekers I have no problem with.
I don't think any one like that is a tramp, but I think that illegal immigrants should be deported to their own countries & only be able to come back when legal, or claiming asylum

No. Tramps live outside what we think of as 'normal society'. Some are forced into this state by losing their home etc and some chose to live that way: no fixed abode, no cleaning, no council tax, no junk mail ....
