Lee was hesitant in meeting a small union force head on the first day.

Some of Lees generals were too incompetent and stuck in their ways to see the value of taking the high ground.

Finally, Lee should have listened to his most brilliant General, Longstreet, and get the hell out of dodge while their was still time.

I don't need some encyclopedia article to tell me about Gettysburg.

I've walked the battleground several times and that thought is always a sobering one.....to maintain the Union.
