It is absolutely unethical but do not worry at all since "God doesn't exist" as someone says...

He is Father God, Creator of all, and He has more than the right of the earthly father to punish His subjects, children, and creation. God is more than ethical. He is righteous and holy and without sin.

The question is - Who are you to question God?

It's unethical to worship something in the first place. Why would he stop at punishment?

Incidentally, the Bible's pretty clear in describing a male god, not female or androgenous - specifically male.

If you don't believe in God, then isn't your question irrelevant? And if your belief is wrong...then whether or not God's actions are ethical is entirely beside the point, no?

Reward and punishment is determined by how one chooses to use their own free will. Keep acting destructively, and one will naturally become a part of the destructive, recycling aspect of Creation, and get recycled. And the "will" to SURVIVE comes from the spirit. So it Ain't Pretty!
OR, one can act constructively, and become a part of the creative aspect of Creation, and live forever if they want.
End of Story.

Isn't God supposed to love EVERYONE despite their sins or beliefs? What kind of God only loves the ones that believes in him? Sounds like a hypocrite or discrimination to me if that is true.
