You might be lucky - you might have a kitty that knows what meat is!
Obviously fried or even cooked meat isn't an acceptable diet for kitten or cats - without supplementing.
If I were you, I'd investigate feeding raw meat to your little guy - it seems he might be willing! This is not something you can just jump into, you do have to do your research.
Check out the groups from my 360 - you'll have to join them but that's no big deal. You can look at their available info and even ask questions about raw feeding.
In the meantime, you can give little schnibbles of meat but also try some different foods. Check out the canned varieties from the link below - some of them will have kitten food.

Cats can be manipulative. The old "I will starve unless you give me a grilled chicken breast with a side of cream" bit is very old. Almost all cats will try it once.
DO NOT GIVE IN. A diet of people food is imbalanced and can cause disease and death.
1) get some dry food and some canned kitten food that is chicken flavored.
2) put it out.
3) ignore any drama.
There is no known case of a cat starving because she didn't like the kibble. After she learns her lesson you may provide a small piece of cooked chicken as a treat but 95% of a cats diet should be cat food.

Try different foods. Try some dry food and some canned food. Don't feed it human food or crappy grocery store foods. Purina, Iams, Fancy Feast, Meow Mix, etc. are all poor quality foods filled with yucky by-products and grain fillers. Do some research on feline nutrition so your cat will live a long healthy life and save yourself vet bills.
Some of the best kinds, found in pet stores are:
Natura Innova EVO, Wellness, Felidae, Eagle Pack Holistic Select, Holistic Blend, Orijen, Petcurean Go! Natural, Petcurean Foundations, Petcurean Summit, Natura California Natural, Natura Innova, by Nature, Nutram, Nature’s Variety, Natural Balance.

cats are VERY finicky about what they will or won't eat.
That young a kitten, I'd get some KMR formula and feed that as well. It's a milk replacement that kit's won't be allergic to.
Try some different foods by getting small amounts. See if there are foods specifically out there for kittens. If you have friends with cats, ask them for a small amount of some of theirs so you can try it out.
Meanwhile, add little tidbits of the friend chicken to the cat food to make them more likely to eat the cat food. I've done that and it may well help you. When you cook for yourself, if you cook without salt, you can try small amounts of your own food, or raw meat before you cook it. Raw food is fine for animals. That's what their feral cousins eat.

Don't worry. Why is it so important that she eats cat food in tin. This is not very good for her or her teeth anyway. Dry food is the best, and also you can give your kitten human food. Just never too warm food. And no spices or bones. She is only 8 weeks old, so you could make something with boiled rice, boiled veggies (carrots, potato's) and some chicken. Mix it all together. This is good food for her. Not all the time of course, you have to change.
Also, you just got her, so this thing with chairing the food can help bonding between the two of you. Try some different cat food, and find what she likes. Give her human food from time to time.

You might want to try a different type of kitten food. Maybe a can of 9 Lives or something in that nature. Its very unhealthy for the kitten to eat our food. Trust me, no cat will starve itself. : ) Good Luck!

Sounds like my cat. Whenever this unbelievable pet food recall is over try giving her "fancy feast" wet food, the minced kind, the label is white and red. I am pretty sure she will love it. I recommend the minced kind because she is still very young and it is easy to take down because the meat is minced. Be careful what type of human food she eats. Salt is very bad for cats. She should like the Fancy Feast. She will be fine. She is just a brat like my cat...lol.

Hey Orked!! Fried foodies are BAAAD for you!!
Your purrson MIGHT want to put just a LITTLE of it in with your regular food so you start to eat your Cat Foodies!!. And once you get used to your Yummy Food (yes it is! MY cats love their foodies!! You should too!!!), then -- NO MORE fried food AT ALL -- it'll give you the runnnnsss (agh!)
And your purrson might want to put that trash can out of your reach. There's all kinds of other BAAAD stuff in the trash that belongs - in the trash -- and not in Kitty Stummikkks!!
My Pee Wee kitty usta dig in the trash and come up with -- Banana Peels! She loved em! She'd drag em around, usually with me and sis running after her !!!

the cat is not going to starve. you may not see her eating, but she probably is doing so in small amounts. i had to try out different foods (soft food) you can get one small can of different brands and lay them out...monitor what she likes best...make sure to change your trash can to one with a lid..the ones that are good are those metal ones with the stepping lever.
she will only develop bad habits if you allow her to...you may want to try giving her a little bit of kittie milk as well...
bottom line, as the first person said, don't give her our food...very bad for her in many ways...
again, just concern yourself with getting different choices for her, she will eat...

You could try moist kitten food, chicken flavored . She will eat it when she is hungry. Human food is very bad for her tummy.
